Osprey Handyman handles a wide range of residential repair and maintenance work throughout Sarasota County. We're not a specialty contractor — we're the crew you call when you have a list of things that need to get done and you want someone reliable to work through it. Below is a detailed breakdown of the services we offer, along with honest notes on what falls inside and outside our wheelhouse.

Carpentry & Trim Work
We handle interior trim installation, baseboard and door casing replacement, cabinet repairs, wood patching, and general carpentry tasks. Whether a door frame has shifted or you need new trim matched and installed, we do it cleanly and efficiently. We work with painted and stained finishes and can match existing profiles.
Scope note: Custom millwork fabrication and large-scale structural framing are outside our scope, but most standard carpentry repairs and installations are a good fit.
Drywall Repair
From small nail holes to larger patches caused by water damage, door knobs, or remodeling work, we can restore your walls to a smooth, paint-ready finish. We cut clean patches, tape and float seams, and feather the compound to blend with the surrounding surface. We also handle ceiling repairs.
Scope note: Full room drywall hang and finish is beyond our scope. We focus on repair work — patching, skimming, and spot texturing to match existing finishes.
Door & Window Installation
We install pre-hung interior and exterior doors, replace door hardware, adjust and rehang sagging doors, and install or replace windows in existing openings. We make sure everything is square, sealed properly, and operates smoothly. Storm door installation is also available.
Scope note: We install doors and windows in existing rough openings. Structural work to modify or create new openings is not included.
Painting & Touch-Ups
Interior painting including walls, ceilings, and trim. We prep properly — filling holes, sanding, masking, and priming as needed — so the finish holds and looks right. We also handle spot touch-ups to blend repairs into existing painted surfaces.
Scope note: We focus on interior residential painting. Exterior painting and large multi-room projects may not be available depending on scheduling. Ask when you call.
Caulking & Weatherproofing
Caulking around tubs, showers, windows, and doors is one of the most effective maintenance tasks a homeowner can do. We remove old failed caulk, prep surfaces properly, and apply fresh caulk cleanly. We also seal gaps around pipes, vents, and exterior penetrations to improve energy efficiency.
Scope note: Caulking is included as part of many other jobs. It can also be booked as a standalone service — great for homeowners doing seasonal maintenance.
Plumbing Fixture Repairs
We handle minor plumbing tasks: faucet replacement, toilet repairs, shutoff valve swaps, under-sink fixture installs, and similar work. If something is leaking, dripping, or running constantly, we can usually fix it quickly during the same visit.
Scope note: We do not handle main line work, sewage systems, or any work requiring permits or a licensed plumber. For jobs that fall outside this range, we'll tell you upfront and refer you to the right professional.
TV Mounting & Installation
We mount TVs on drywall, brick, and concrete surfaces using the right hardware for each. We locate studs, select the right mount, run cables where possible, and make sure everything is level and secure. We also help with component shelving and basic AV setup.
Scope note: In-wall cable concealment depends on wall type and local codes. We'll let you know what is feasible during the estimate.
Furniture Assembly
We assemble flat-pack furniture from any manufacturer — beds, desks, shelving units, wardrobes, outdoor furniture, and more. We follow manufacturer instructions carefully and make sure the finished product is solid and level. No lost hardware, no stripped screws.
Scope note: We assemble any standard flat-pack furniture. Custom or antique restoration is not in our wheelhouse.
General Property Maintenance
Catch-all maintenance tasks that keep a home in good shape: tightening loose fixtures, fixing squeaky hinges, patching screens, adjusting cabinet doors, replacing outlet covers, and handling the minor repairs that build up over time. We're happy to work through a full punch list in a single visit.
